Information We Collect

1. Account and Waitlist Information

When you create an account, sign in, join the waitlist, or contact support, we may collect:

• Email address, display name, authentication provider identifiers, and account status.
• Waitlist source, TestFlight invite status, and related service messages.
• Support messages and other information you choose to provide to us.

Purpose: We use this information to operate your account, manage beta access, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and communicate service-related information.

2. Podcast Library and Listening Data

PodVibe may process podcast-related information such as followed shows, feed URLs, episode metadata, playback position, queue state, downloads state, listening stats, device identifiers used for sync, and similar app state.

Purpose: We use this information to provide playback, sync your library and listening progress, restore your data across devices, personalize the app experience, and improve reliability.

3. AI, Transcription, and Search Data

When you use AI-powered features, PodVibe may process episode audio references, transcripts, generated summaries, chapter data, search queries, prompts, and responses needed to deliver those features.

Purpose: We use this information to generate transcripts, summaries, search results, and other requested AI features. We do not sell this information, and we do not use your podcast library, prompts, transcripts, or AI requests to train general-purpose AI models.

4. Usage and Diagnostic Data

We may collect basic technical and diagnostic information such as app version, platform, device type, crash logs, error reports, performance data, approximate request timing, security logs, and first-party website analytics for beta landing page events.

Website analytics are limited to coarse events such as page views, waitlist CTA clicks, page language, referrer host, and campaign parameters. We do not use third-party analytics cookies for the beta landing page, and these events do not include your email address, podcast library, playback history, transcripts, prompts, or search queries.

Purpose: We use this information to keep PodVibe stable, secure, and reliable, and to understand which product areas need improvement.

Third-Party Services

PodVibe may rely on third-party services to operate the App, including app stores, authentication providers, hosting infrastructure, email delivery providers, diagnostics tools, podcast feed providers, and AI or transcription service providers.

When a third-party service is needed to complete a feature, relevant information may be transmitted securely to that service. Third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transmission, access controls, secure storage practices, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide PodVibe, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, and improve the App. Account data, beta access records, sync data, support records, and diagnostic logs may have different retention periods based on their purpose.

You may request account deletion through the App or by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law, for legitimate business records, fraud prevention, security, or store transaction compliance.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also stop future collection by discontinuing use of PodVibe and uninstalling the App.

Children's Privacy

PodVibe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
